NATCHEZ — Services for Robyn Diane Brown, 76, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday in Kuehnle Hall at the church.

Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 8, 1938, in Ville Platte, La., the daughter of Marion Dalton Brown and Eleanor Arnold Brown.

She was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dalton Brown of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. William Paxton Arnold Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mrs. Brown moved with her family from Houston to Natchez in 1953. She was a 1956 graduate of Natchez High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she was active in campus life that included membership in Chi Omega Sorority.

She was a lifelong Episcopalian and an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, the Natchez Historical Society, the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society and the Historic Natchez Foundation.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Brown; her parents; and grandparents.

Survivors include two sons, C. Edward “Teddy” Gibson Jr. and wife, Maribeth, of Jackson and Christopher R. Gibson of Natchez; three grandchildren, Catherine Elizabeth Gibson, Mary Paxton Gibson and William Dalton Gibson; two stepsons, Greg Brown and wife, Pam, of Brandon and Kevin Brown of Natchez; and three step-grandchildren, Anna Brown, Meghan Brown and Peyton Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Natchez-Adams County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
