NATCHEZ — Services for Rubye Lee Smith, 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in Shreveport, La., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with Edmond Julius officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Triumphant Seventh Day Adventist Church and from noon until service time Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 11, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Smith Jr.; and three brothers.

Survivors include six children, Maggie McGruder of Jackson, Aurdie Amoo-Asante and Sandra Smith, both of Nashville, Tenn., Rubye D. Hunt, Andrew Smith III and wife, Christina, all of Natchez, and Wanda Burton and husband, Tyrone, of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
