NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Richard N. Kirby Sr., 86, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Kirby was born on May 23, 1928, in Brownsville, Texas, the son of Albert and Vera Newlin Kirby.

Kirby was a member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Kirby was a retired technician for South Central Bell.

Kirby was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Simmons Kirby, and one son, Richard N. Kirby, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Kent Kirby and wife, Dianne, of Natchez and Stan Kirby of Natchez; daughter-in-law, Barbara Paradise Kirby of Natchez; one granddaughter, Sarah Boydstun and husband, John, of Madison; and one grandson, Sam Kirby of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Murray Warnock, Trey Isbell, Donald Gardner, Colby Godfrey, John Boydstun Jr. and Kenny Anderson.

Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1907 Dunbarton Drive, Suite C., Jackson, MS.
