FERRIDAY — Services for Jimmie Reed Robertson, 84, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at Camelot Leisure Living, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Roger Johnson and the Rev. Josh Morea officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodland Mausoleum in Ferriday under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robertson was born Feb. 21, 1930, in Slidell, La., the daughter of Sampson Cargile Smith and Euna Brewton Smith.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ferriday.

Jimmie received her bachelor of science degree from the Louisiana State University and retired from Concordia Parish school system as a librarian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years, Johnny Robertson.

Survivors include four sons, John Robertson III of Ferriday, David Robertson and wife, Belinda, and Mike Robertson, all of Baton Rouge, and Todd Robertson and wife, Robin, of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Elizabeth McAnelly of Waco, Texas; and a number of grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Robertson, David Robertson, Mike Robertson, Todd Robertson, William McAnelly and Caleb Robertson.
