ROXIE — Services for Sargent “Brother” Jenkins Jr., 66, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roxie First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Gibson officiating.

Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxie under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jenkins was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Roxie, the son of Sargent Jenkins Sr. and Eddice Bailey Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diann Jenkins; two brothers, Marshall Jenkins and A.D. Williams; and one sister, Ollie Mae Jenkins.

Survivors include six children, Georgia Hunt and husband, Kenny, Wanda Jenkins, Sargent Jenkins and wife, Pamela, Patricia Gibson and husband, Ron, Antoine Jenkins and Feliscia Walton and husband, Antoine; three brothers, Larry Jenkins, Dennis Jenkins and wife, Ella, and Elvis Jenkins and wife, Racheal; three sisters, Francis Howard and husband, Andrew, Morgoret Reed and Belinda Jenkins; one uncle, Dave Bailey; one aunt, Luvinia Jenkins; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
