MONTEREY — Graveside services for Janice Ferrell, 75, of Monterey, who died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ferrell Family Cemetery in Monterey with the Rev. Jerry Sharp Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ferrell was born Aug. 19, 1939, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Golden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “Buddy” Ferrell Jr.; her parents; one granddaughter, Lindsey LaDonna Graves; one grandson, Brennan Newman; one sister, Carolyn Feralin; and two brothers, Terry Golden and Conrad Golden.

Survivors include four daughters, Susan Ferrell Ogle of Vidalia and husband, Larry Dale, of Enterprise, La., Tammy Lynn Newman and husband, Rocky Eugene, Kathy Darlene Stutes and husband, Melvin Derrick and Stacey Simpson and husband, Gary, all of Monterey; one sister, Gloria Graves of Monterey; seven grandchildren, Denny Lee Johnson, Heath Bradley Johnson, DezaRae Cheyenne Graves, Kairee Marquez, Brandon Newman, Dalton Simpson and Bryce Simpson; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Carr, Gary Simpson, Dalton Simpson, Ethan Allen, Heath Johnson, Daniel Schultz and Gabe Holleran.
