NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Byron Boyette, 78, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Boyette was born May 28, 1936, in Sicily Island, the son of William Huey and Nanny Boyd Boyette.
He was retired from the Natchez Water Works.
Mr. Boyette was a member of Trace City Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Boyette was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Elaine Boyette; his loving daughter and son-in-law, Lissa and Kevin Spears; and four siblings.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Boyette and wife, Tammy, of Denham Springs, La., and Jeffrey Boyette of Columbia, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Nicola Boyette of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Luke Boyette, Laverne “Sis” Hires and “Bud” Boyette; a number of beloved nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and church family and a community of friends.
Pallbearers will be Tim Moore, Steve Shannon, Daylon Hicks, Matthew Moore, Rod Stone and Robin Blake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Trace City Baptist Church in Natchez.
