NATCHEZ — Former Trinity Episcopal standout, and current New England Patriot running back Stevan Ridley is scheduled to have surgery Nov. 18 to repair a torn ACL he suffered in the fifth game of the season against the Buffalo Bills.

“Stevan is doing well,” said Carolyn Ridley, Stevan’s mother. “His MCL is healing and he is scheduled for surgery on his ACL.”

Before the injury, Ridley had racked up 340 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also added four catches for 20 yards.

Ridley’s tear is in the same knee which he tore the ACL in during his time at LSU.

Dr. Brent Bankston will be doing the surgery.

“Stevan is in good spirits,” Carolyn said. “We are doing OK.”
