VIDALIA — Services for Alice Faye Carroll, 82, a homemaker of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., surrounded by her loving family, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Faith Tabernacle Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Ronald Hall and the Rev. Arley Rowley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Carroll was born May 6, 1932, the daughter of Frank and Fannie Jackson Roberts.

She was faithful to her church and loved her children and grandchildren. They were her heart.

Mrs. Carroll was a true matriarch of her family, always knowing what she wanted and always felt strong in her beliefs. A number of people looked to her for guidance and her opinion always counted.

She will be surely missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mack Veller Carroll; one grandson, Tyler Ray Decote; one daughter-in-law, Connie Carroll; and twin sister, Mary Gaye Antinoro.

Survivors include her six children, Mary Francis Murphy and husband, Mike, Martha Gaye Carroll, Veller Ray Carroll, Frankin Carroll and wife, Wanda, and Mark Carroll and wife, Terrie, all of Ferriday, and John Henry Carroll and companion, Nellie Snowden, of Natchez; 11 grandchildren, Misty Carroll, Chad Carroll, Dusty Carroll, Hope Carroll, Catherine Murphy, Bridget Murphy, Alison Carroll, David Carroll, Nicholas Carroll, Jonathon Carroll and Austin Carroll; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Carroll, Dusty Carroll, Jonathon Carroll, David Carroll, Nicholas Carroll, Austin Carroll, Buddy Rouse and Chris Seals.
