WATERPROOF, La. — Services for Corine Weekly Harris, 94, of Waterproof, La., who died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Harris was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Ferriday, the daughter of Rodney and Maggie Henderson Weekly.

She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Waterproof.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Harris Sr.; three children, Odester Reed, Betty Harris and Eugene Harris; and one brother, Percy Weekly.

Survivors include six daughters, Maggie Reed of Birmingham, Ala., Verna Harris of Los Angeles, Carolyn Harris of Waterproof, Linda Godley and husband, Clifford, of Natchez, Brenda Harris and Annette Harris, both of Houston; one son, Albert Harris Jr. of Waterproof; one sister, Ruby Billups of Grambling, La.; one sister-in-law, Lucille Weekly of California; 21 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
