WOODVILLE — Services for Bobbye Sue Lewis, 87, of Woodville, formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Muncy and the Rev. Ben Carlisle officiating.
Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 30, 1927, in Florence, the daughter of Pleasant Bernard Berry and Erma Beard Berry.
She served as a pianist for the Woodville Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Easter Star for 68 years where she served as its Worthy Matron and Grand Organist.
Mrs. Lewis loved to cook and share her homemade bread with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Marvin Nelson Lewis; two sisters, Bonnie B. Rogers and Margaret Ann B. Stewart; one great-granddaughter, Emilie Lewis; and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Warren Bruce Lewis and wife, Karen, of Woodville and Marvin Patrick Lewis and wife, Lisa, of Corinth; five grandchildren, Grayson Randolph Lewis of Natchez, Scott Nelson Lewis of Hernando, Elizabeth L. Lewis of Monterey, Calif., Christopher Patrick Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Nicholas Everett Lewis of Germany; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy B. Marziale of Luling, La.; and four nieces.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Lewis, Grayson Lewis, Scott Lewis, Travis Sharp, Ben A. “Moose” Tolbert and Adam Oliveaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. David McGraw, Dr. Vikram Dulam, Wettlin Treppendahl, Eric Trevillion, Joe Mayer, Nicholas Lewis and Pat Cavin.
The family extends a special thanks to Brenda S. Thompson and Patricia H. Evans.
