Brown takes Adams County court judge election

NATCHEZ — With 19 of 19 precincts reporting, unofficial election results show Walt Brown winning the race for Adams County court judge.
Brown won with 3,414 votes, or 57 percent, while competitor Patricia Dunmore had 2,574, or 43 percent.
Adams County election officials had received 448 absentee ballots as of Monday afternoon.
Brown and Dunmore emerged as the two leading candidates after a general election earlier this month.
The decision went to a runoff election today after Dunmore led the field the first time with approximately 36.6 percent of the vote, while Brown followed with 30 percent.
