FERRIDAY — Services for Phyllis Marie Duncan, 70, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, in Vidalia, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Duncan was born Oct. 2, 1944, in West Monroe, La., the daughter of Frank Hunt “Jack” Valentine and Marie K. Valentine.

She was retired from the Concordia Parish school system after 23 years of service as a secretary.

Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Wayne Henry Jay.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Duncan; one daughter, Alicia S. Havard and husband, David, of Natchez; one stepdaughter, Natalie Pittman and husband, Colt, of Springfield, La.; her mother of Natchez; one sister, Cheryl V. Reid and husband, Ansell, of Conroe, Texas; two grandsons, Landon Hunt Havard and Ethan Pittman; three granddaughters, Aurora Rayne Carter, Velicity Jewel Carter and Jada Diane Pittman; and special friend, Sandra Book of Vidalia.

Pallbearers will be David Havard, Landon Havard, Calvin Dent, Todd Ainsworth, Colt Pittman, Marty Hammett and Greg Duncan Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be William T. Smith, Ansell Reid, Greg Duncan Sr., Brian Rush Jr. and Garry Duncan.
