NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Ellen “Minnie Bell” Young, 92, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Union Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Young was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Ackerman, the daughter of Everett and Bessie Lee Winex Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward E. Young; one sister, Sallie Bell Marshall Patterson; and two brothers, Herman Marshall and the Rev. Earnest Marshall.

Survivors include a loving and devoted daughter, Bessie Miller of Natchez; three grandchildren, Clarence Brown of Natchez, Linda Powell of Jackson and Willie Miller and wife, Cassandra, of Belton, Texas; two sisters, Muzette Marshall Smith of Milwaukee, Wis., and Inell Marshall Lyles of Natchez; special companion, Jessie Martin; 10 grandchildren, Shondra Henderson, Shayla Brown, Terrence Brown, Albert Brown, Ciara Brown, Jonathan Miller, Cori Miller, Bria Miller, Asia Miller and Brian Griffin; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
