MONTEREY, La. — Services for Maxine Flaherty Delhoste, 75, of Acme, La., who died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Columns Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Era Baptist Church in Monterey with the Rev. Dennis Baker and the Rev. Cindy Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Acme Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Delhoste was born Nov. 15, 1939, in New Era, La., the daughter of Millard Flaherty and Maudel Bryan Flaherty.

She was a member of New Era Baptist Church.

Mrs. Delhoste retired after a number of years of service with the Concordia school system where she worked in the cafeteria. She also served as teacher for the ladies Sunday school class at New Era Baptist Church for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald K. Byron Delhoste; two brothers, Ralph Flaherty and Terry Flaherty; and one sister, Doris Charrler.

Survivors include one son, Cam Delhoste and wife, Lindy, of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; one daughter, Sheryl Delhoste Price and husband, Jeff, of Deville, La.; one sister, Carolyn Beard of Lizmore; four grandchildren, LaShay Cole, Matthew Price, Joseph Delhoste and Michael Price; four great-grandchildren, Cami Cole, Mason Price, Carson Cole and Sean Cole; and one great-great-grandchild, Claire Cole.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Price, Michael Price, Joseph Delhoste, Brad Cole, David Sikes, Joe Wiley, Mark Beard and Terry Tiffee.

Honorary pallbearers will be LaShay Cole, Josh CoCo, Cami Cole, Mason Price, Carson Cole and Claire Cole.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Era Baptist Church.

The family extends special thanks to LaSalle General Hospital, Columns Nursing Home and Camelia Hospice Care Employees, Penny, Anna Laura and Erica.
