ROXIE — Services for Carl Ray “Cool Ray” Reed, 70, of Bude, who died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today, with a wake service from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home in Bude.

Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Reed was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Franklin County, the son of Donis Harris and Joe Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Clydis Harris; his wife, Dessie Byrd Reed; and one stepsister, Ruby Lee Harris.

Survivors include one daughter, Courtney Booker; one son, Carlos Grace; one brother, Sever Harris; two uncles, Jim Reed and Anderson Reed; one special daughter he raised as his own, Sharon Mitchell; three close cousins, Mary Rife, Della Mae Harris and Sylvia Moore; and a number of other relatives and friends.
