NATCHEZ — Services for William Carl “Billy” McGehee, 90, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at his residence, will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. McGehee was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Gloster, the son of Carl A. McGehee and Stella Andrews McGehee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sarah B. McGehee.

Survivors include one daughter, Mildred B. McGehee of Santa Fe, N.M.; one son, William Carl “Bill” McGehee and wife, Rebecca Schiele McGehee, of Natchez; one grandson, William Carl McGehee III and wife, Mary Carmella McGehee, of Baton Rouge; one granddaughter, Anna Catesby Yant and husband, Trey Yant, of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great-granddaughters, Sarah Gray Yant and Eleanor Katherine Yant of Nashville.

The family extends a special thanks to his devoted caregivers, Lawrence Gooden and Valerie Smith.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Day School or the Historic Natchez Foundation.
