Betty Wollerson Doyle

JONESVILLE — Funeral services for Betty Wollerson Doyle, 81, who died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at her home, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Jonesville with the Rev. John Scott Jr. and Ralph Webber officiating.

Burial service will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

Doyle was born in Winnsboro on Nov. 26, 1933, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Wollerson.

Doyle was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a degree in education. Her greatest joy in life was imparting knowledge to her students in her long career as a teacher. Doyle taught for thirty years in Tensas Parish and Catahoula Parish.

Doyle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Doyle; and two brothers, “Skip” Wollerson and Richard “Dick” Wollerson.

Doyle is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Doyle Everson and husband, Pete, of Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Swayze, Craig Edwards, Glen Tiser and friends.
