NATCHEZ — Services for Mamie Bernice Austin Boyette, 92, of Franklinton, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, in Riverside Hospital in Franklinton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Charles F. McCall officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boyette was born Jan. 12, 1922, in El Dorado, Ark., the daughter of James Jackson Austin and Mary Grace Austin.
She was a retired from the grocery store business as a meat wrapper.
Mrs. Boyette was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was a great cook, loved music and loved to dance. She also loved to go to the senior center and play games. She will be missed very much by all her family.
Mrs. Boyette attended the Catholic church when she visited her family in Lake Charles, La., and when visiting her family in Franklinton, she attended the Baptist church.
Mrs. Boyette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold A. Boyette; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, James “Jim” H. Boyette and wife, Annie; one daughter, Shirley A. Myers and husband, Vervon; six grandsons; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Charles McCall; one sister-in-law, Sandy Austin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Myers, Randell Myers, Raymond Myers III, Kevin Boyette, David Boyette and Ben Boyette.
