NEW ERA, La. — Graveside services for Ernest Lee Jr., 79, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Columbus Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Dewey Cemetery in New Era, La., with the Rev. Jack Knapp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Lee was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Simmsport, La., the son of Ernest Lee Sr. and Delores Coston Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Lee; two daughters, Janet Bell and husband, Rick, of Canada and Debbi Hamilton and husband, Keith, of Monterey; one brother, Jimmy Lee and wife, Jessie, of Alexandria, La.; one sister, Margie Cazares and husband, Bill, of Alexandria; one granddaughter, Kristie Lee and husband, Jeremy, of Brookhaven; and two great-grandchildren, Mia Katherine Lee and Carter Hamilton Lee.
