NATCHEZ — Services for Carrie Butler Myles, 97, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Crown Health and Rehab in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Natchez and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Myles was born July 4, 1917, in Natchez, the daughter of John and Caroline Gaines Butler.
She was a member of the Victory Chapter No. 4 Easter Star and served on the mother board at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
Mrs. Myles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. James “Peter” Myles; six brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Myrtis Gordon and husband, Don Sr.; one son, Jerome Myles Sr. and wife, Elizabeth; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
