Alfredia Evans

ST. JOSEPH — Services for Alfredia Evans, 78, of Monroe, formerly of St. Joseph, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Cornerstone Hospital, in West Monroe, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at New China Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Scott officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Evans was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Waterproof, the daughter of Noah and Eliza Smith Walker.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Junius Evans.

Survivors include 11 sons, Clifton Evans and wife, Glenda, of Monroe, Junius Walker Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., Calvin Evans and wife, Veronica, Oliver Evans and wife, Shelia, all of Waterproof, Issac Evans, Terry Evans and wife, Angie, Larry Evans, Charlie Evans and wife, Michelle, Reginald Evans, Mark Evans and wife, Leann, all of Houston, and Curtis Evans of Chicago; one daughter, Linda Evans of Porterville, Calif.; one brother, Aldolph Walker of New Orleans; three sisters, LouEthel Foules of St. Rose, Lou., Hazel Walker and Helen Thomas, both of New Orleans; 32 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number nephews, nieces and friends.
