GLOSTER — Services for Cathie May Flowers, 92, of Zachary, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at her granddaughter’s home in Denham Springs, will be at noon Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Malone officiating.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, in Woodville, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flowers was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Clyde McCurley and Emma Adams McCurley.

She was a social worker with King’s Daughter Hospital, in Brookhaven, and secretary for First Baptist Church, in Baker, for a number of years.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe M. Flowers; one daughter, Joann F. Barrett; and one brother, Clyde McCurley.

Survivors include one daughter, Katherine F. Swearingen; one sister, Minnie Bruss; six grandchildren, Rose Swearingen, Kathy Rogers, Donna Landrum, Eugene Barrett, Ellen Nolan and Joe Swearingen; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Guy Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Mike Landrum, Travis Landrum, Joe Swearingen and Cody Sylvest.
