VIDALIA — Memorial services for Robert Howard Stanley, 42, a driller in the oil industry in Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, in Fort Stockton, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Stanley was born March 29, 1972, the son of Bob Stanley and Joy Houghton White.

He was a driller for more than 20 years. He was a graduate of Huntington High School and played football for Arkansas State University from 1991 to 1992.

Mr. Stanley loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Heidi Stanley; three children, Joshua Blake Stanley of Roxie, Elizabeth Brooke Stanley of Texarcana, Texas and Luciano Seth Stanley of Vidalia; two stepchildren, Karley and Ryley of Lowell, Mich.; his mother and stepfather, Doonie White of Roxie; one brother, Jason Scott Stanley and wife, Diana, of Vidalia; three sisters, Cynthia Spearman of Binson, Ala., Renee Byrne and husband, Donald, of Senatobia and Maria Greene and husband, Mike, of Roxie; one stepbrother, Doonie N. White and wife, Shannon, of Waveland; one stepsister, Pam Cupid of Vidalia; 13 nieces and nephews; and a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
