Showcase to be held for HS players in Miss-Lou

NATCHEZ — Scouts will be on hand for a baseball showcase featuring high school and college players in the area at 1 p.m. on Jan. 3.
Christopher Rayborn, who is helping put the showcase on, said six to eight Major League Baseball scouts will be present at the showcase, along with two or three agents and advisors. Rayborn said Mississippi junior college baseball recruiting coordinators will attend, as well.
Rayborn said former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr. will be present to talk to the kids attending along with sign autographs.
Cost for high school players to attend will be $40, while college players will be charged $20 to participate.
The event will take place at Liberty Park at Chester Willis Field next to Natchez High School. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.
