NATCHEZ — Services for Wyatt Henry “Piji” Credit, 83, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Credit was born July 1, 1931, in Woodville, the son of James and Pearlie Credit.
He was a truck driver for North American Van Lines and Brothers Moving and Storage.
Mr. Credit was a member of Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Thomas; four sisters, Maggie, Christine, Della and Annie Mae; and one brother, Morris.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 62 years, Martha Mae Credit; nine children, Will Henry Credit and wife, Joi, of Ruston, La., Shelia Credit, James Credit and wife, Thelma, Irish Williams and husband, Lonnell, Marsha Young and husband, Eddie, Sonette Tensley and Charles Credit, all of Natchez, Pearl Wicks and husband, Darryl, of Jackson and Morris Credit and wife, Tammra, of Austell, Ga.; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a special son, Robert Bonds and wife, Patricia; a special daughter, Almetia Simmons; and a number of other relatives and friends.
