NATCHEZ — Services for Robert “Bo Bo” Norbitt Sr., 82, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, were Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Burial followed at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Mr. Norbitt was born Jan. 8, 1932, in Nashville, Tenn., the son of Cleave and Pearlina Horton.

He was a member of the little league baseball organization, and he was a tutor.

Mr. Norbitt was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Horton; and one grandson, Michael Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Burns-Norbitt; five sons, Jerome Myles Sr. and wife, Elizabeth, Sidney Wayne Smith, Alvin Shelby Sr., all of Natchez, Carl Easton of Seattle and Robert Norbitt Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; five daughters, Gwendolyn Proby and Maxine Seals, both of Natchez, Nancy Dixon and husband, Elbert Sr., of Roxie, Lydia Banks Reed of Jackson and Cheryl Tyler of Nashville; 31 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
