JONESVILLE — Funeral services for Robert Edward Freeman, 82, of Magnolia, Texas, who died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville with the Rev. Jim Elder officiating.
Burial will follow at the Galvin’s Creek Cemetery in Whitehall LaSalle Parish under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Freeman was born on March 31, 1932, the son of Euclid Freeman and Hazel Dail Freeman McNeely.
Freeman served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He graduated from Louisiana State University as a geologist and thoroughly enjoyed every day in his career.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David Dail Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Wilson Freeman; two daughters, Cindy Freeman and Melanie Powell; two sisters, Barbara Ann Mattingly and Brenda Howell, two granddaughters, Samantha and Tiffany Powell; and a number of family, friends, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Freeman, Curt Freeman, David Mattingly, Frank Schneider, Roy Schneider and Mitchell Orsak.
