CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Memorial services for Stacy Daigre Strong, 57, of Cleveland, Tenn., who died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., following a brief illness, will be at 5 p.m. today at The Chapel at Lee University in Cleveland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until service time today at the chapel.
Mrs. Strong was born and raised in Natchez and attended Natchez public schools. She was active with Colonel’s Ladies, Young Republicans, a camp counselor for a number of years and an avid water skier.
She was a Kappa Delta at Louisiana State University and graduated from Miss Wade’s Fashion Merchandising School in Dallas. After 20 years in fashion merchandising, she then pursued a career in medical sales in Birmingham, Ala. Longing to return to Natchez, she used her exceptional cooking skills to create and operate Supper Thyme Catering Business. During this time, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Stacy was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Ruth Stacy.
Survivors include her father, Benny Daigre; her mother, Jo Ann Stacy Koonce; one son, Cole Strong and wife, Ashley; one daughter, Carrie Welborn and husband, Noah; two brothers, Darrell Daigre and wife, Lisa, and Alan Daigre and wife, Cindy; and six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lucas, Olivia and Nora Strong and Abagail and Kinsley Welborn.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.
