MONTEREY — Services for Clarence Rogers Jr., 47, of Jonesville, who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 1 p.m. today at Lismore Baptist Church in Monterey with the Rev. Byron Gray officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Rogers was born June 11, 1966, in Pineville, La., the son of Clarence Rogers Sr. and Peggy Pecanty Rogers.
Prior to his accident, he loved fishing, hunting and working on his truck. He also enjoyed farming, driving tractors and working on equipment.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Tillman and Lena Pecanty and Lillie Mae Perritt.
Survivors include four siblings, Joy Parker of St. Francisville, La., Darlene Smith and husband, Mike, of Clayton, Ron Rogers and fiancée, Fay, of Youngsville, La., and Tessa Martin and husband, Cory, of Clayton; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Joe Pecanty, Lee Charpentier, Reggie Aswell, Daren Pecanty, Ed Hill and Randall Butts.
