NATCHEZ — Services for Audrey Mae Ferguson Jones, 85, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Crown Health and Rehabilitation Center, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Spruce Derden officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Wisner, La., the daughter of John William Ferguson Sr. and Eva Faye Guillot Jones.

She graduated from high school in Orange, Texas, during World War II and went on to attend Louisiana State University at Monroe. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Natchez and a member of the Mrs. Holloway Sunday school class at First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jones was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Jones; one son, William Harold Jones; and her parents.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Jones Sr. and wife, Judy; one daughter, Cheryl Cowart and husband, Billy, all of Natchez; four grandchildren, Joseph Cowart, Christina Cowart, Jimmy Jones Jr., and Elizabeth Ann Jones; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John William Ferguson Jr. and wife, Janice, of Picayune and Robert Ferguson and wife, Linda, of Arkansas; and two sisters, Fay Calhoun and husband, J.M., of Wisner, La., and Barbara Kimball and husband, Sonny, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones Jr., Joseph Cowart, Shayne O’Brien, John Austin Pitré, Beau Hale and Glen Jones.
