WISNER, La. — Graveside services for Betty Sue Newman Denny, 62, of Monterey, La., who died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, in Monterey, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at South Central Cemetery in Wisner, La., with the Rev. Jack Knapp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Denny was born April 14, 1952, in Winnsboro, La., the daughter of Eugene Newman Jr. and Leona Shipley Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her mother of Winnsboro; one son, Walter King Jr. of Monterey; one daughter, Stacy Denny of Monterey; two sisters, Shirley Victory of Farmerville, La., and Connie Smith of New York; three brothers, Donnie Newman and wife, Molly, of Tyler, Texas, Robert Newman of Sicily Island and Stacy Smith of Winnsboro; and three grandchildren.
