NATCHEZ The Natchez-Adams School District will host its annual spelling bee at 4 p.m. Friday at the Braden Administrative Building.

Though the National Spelling Bee published grade-level word study lists, spellers will encounter varied word levels during competition just like in the national competition, said NASD Deputy Superintendent Tanisha Smith.

The district’s top speller will continue to the statewide spelling bee in Jackson and have an opportunity to go to the national competition in Maryland.

The public is invited to cheer on the contestants at the designated cheering times.
