NATCHEZ — Services for Lonie Wilbanks Betterton, 87, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.

Mrs. Betterton was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Concordia Parish, the daughter of Acey Wilbanks Sr. and Lillie Duncan Wilbanks.

She was a loving homemaker and was loved by all that knew her.

Mrs. Betterton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Fred Betterton; three brothers, Isaih Wilbanks, Acey Wilbanks Jr. and Dean Wilbanks; and one sister, Ruby Bowres.

Survivors include five sons, Jimmy Dale Guillot Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Monterey, Willie W. Guillot and wife, Maryetta, of Kosciusko, Pete Guillot of Ferriday, John Guillot and Melvin A. Guillot and wife, Melissa, all of Natchez; one sister, Lila House of Ferriday; 11 grandchildren, Sandra Barlow, Michael Guillot, Jimmy Guillot Jr., all of Monterey, Anna Guillot of Florence, Lisa Luttrull, Windy Watkins, Precious Solis and Eric Guillot, all of Vidalia, Carrie VanWinkle of Woodbury, Tenn., Melvin Guillot Jr. and Hunter Guillot, both of Natchez; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Watkins, Jesus Solis, Bob McNeece, Eric Guillot, Melvin Guillot Jr., Hunter Guillot and T.J. Olexy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Allen Nugent, Derrick Barlow, Paul Kimball III and Bubba Guillot.
