NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Nathaniel L. Sanders, 66, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at River West Caring Center in Plaquemine, La., will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Sanders was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Bennie and Adelaide Sanders.
He was a 1969 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Mr. Sanders was employed by the Natchez-Adams School District. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 23 years of service.
Mr. Sanders was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and served as an usher.
He loved his family, disabled children and his cats.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Andrew Little, Bennie Sanders Jr., Samuel L. Sanders and Willie A. Sanders; and one sister, Mary L. Sanders.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra L. Sanders of the Philippines; his wife, Donna Sanders of Los Angeles; one sister, Frankie R. Cooks and husband, John, of Natchez; one brother, Ike Sanders of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
