Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stutzman was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of John E. Flowers and Vera Leake Flowers.

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and had a strong unwavering faith in the Lord. She demonstrated her love for Him through the love and kindness that she showed to others. Her life was one of unselfish giving.

In 1943, “Tobby” graduated from the Field Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was licensed as a registered nurse. She worked in the office of Dr. Edwin Benoist at the Natchez Sanatorium for a number of years. When her children were born, she devoted all of her time to her family. Nothing made her happier than having her children and grandchildren gathered around her table for one of her wonderful home-cooked meals. After her sons were grown, she resumed her nursing career at Tracehaven Nursing Home and retired from there in 1982.

Mrs. Stutzman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Spencer G. “Pop” Stutzman Jr.; four sisters, Wilna Scott, Velee Henderson, Earline Carter and Polly Atkins; and three brothers, Murel Flowers, Joe Flowers and John E. Flowers Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Spencer G. Stutzman III and wife, Terry Woodyear, of Natchez and Ronald E. Stutzman and wife, Mary Tipton, of Caruthersville, Mo.; one sister, Earnestine Beatte of Baker, La.; one brother, George Flowers of Woodville; three granddaughters, Bridgette Privett and husband, Terry, of Caruthersville, Gentry Scott and husband, Bill, of Petal and Katie Graham and husband, Kirk, of Natchez; one grandson, Ronald E. Stutzman Jr. and wife, Kristi, of Richland; six great-grandchildren, Teal Scott, Taylor Scott, Logan Graham, Dylan Graham, Dalton Privett and Cole Privett.
