SICILY ISLAND, La. — Services for Barbara Elaine Peck, 80, who died Sunday, March 8, 2015, in Allen, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Sicily Island, La., with the Rev. Howard Hudson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Peck was born Aug. 23, 1934, in Trout, La., the daughter of James Jackson and Thelma Turner Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Peck; her parents; and two brothers, James K. Jackson Jr. and Buddy Jackson.

Survivors include three daughters, Gayle Glasscock and husband, Bill, Cynthia Carter and husband, Pat, and Mary Hinton and husband, Bruce; six grandchildren, Ashley Thompson and husband, Zach, Nicholas Glasscock, Ellyn Glasscock, Lauren Martinez and husband, Isaac, Christie Carter and Abby Hinton; one brother, Bobby Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews, friends and family who will greatly miss her.

Pallbearers will be Bill Glasscock, Isaac Martinez, Zach Thompson, Bruce Hinton and Pat Carter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
