VIDALIA — Few details have been confirmed surrounding a tractor accident Monday night in Concordia Parish.

A tractor apparently ran over Richard K. Ainsworth, age and address unavailable, on 335 Eagle Road just west of Vidalia.

Vernon Stevens, public information officer for the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, said the office received a phone call sometime around 10 p.m. Sunday concerning the accident.

“We received a call advising that someone had been run over by a tractor,” Stevens said.

After receiving the call, an ambulance was dispatched and Ainsworth was transported to Natchez Regional Medical Center.

A representative from NRMC said Monday afternoon that Ainsworth had been released.
