FERRIDAY — Services for Maeola Turner, 79, of Ferriday, who died Monday, March 23, 2015, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael White officiating.
Burial will follow in Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turner was born March 31, 1935, in Vidalia, the daughter of Lee and Ethel Litt Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Ester Riley.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Turner; two step-sons, Ed McCraney and James Anderson, both of Natchez; five daughters, Lillian Turner and Brenda Turner, both of Ferriday, Idelle Washington and husband, George, of Columbia, Miss., Bobbie Turner of Atlanta and Joyce White and husband, Michael, of Port Gibson; one step-daughter, Gloria Turner of Natchez; four sisters, Loretha Hogan of Ferriday, Lee Esther Marshall of Los Angeles, Annie B. Marshall of St. Joseph and Rita Hunt of Vidalia; 12 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
