MONTEREY — Funeral services for C.C Dison 84, of Monterey, who died Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Jonesville, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Monterey First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rushing officiating.
Burial will follow at Monterey First Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Dison was born April 17, 1930, in Saline, La., the son of Charlie and Berta Harper Dison.
Mr. Dison was in the U.S. Air Force and was a World War II veteran and attended the University of Oklahoma. He was a safety director for Enron Oil for many years and was a truck driver. He had a love for his horses, as they were part of his family. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All who knew him will surely miss him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Doris Parrott and Cornelia Dison.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Dison; children, Cee Cee Crouch and husband, James Rodney, of Monterey, Kathy Vailes of Greenwood, Rebecca Littman and husband, Ernie, of Waskom, Texas; one son Henry King and wife, Justina, of Monterey; a special nephew he thought of like a son Jarod Mophett and wife, Caroline, of Harrisonburg; grandchildren, Macee Crouch, Marlee Crouch, Emily White, Teddi White, Amanda Stark, Paul Barns, Stacey Locke, Amber Bailey, Amy Nunner and Madden Mophett; and 15 great-grand children.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Tiffee, Lee White, David White, Doyle White, Cy Abermathy and Chris Forman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Tucker, Wesley Forman, Larry Booth, Jerry Hinton, James Cowan and Gregg Mophett.
