NATCHEZ — Services for Joyce Marie Woods Newell, 53, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 10, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. J.L. Hammittee officiating.

Burial will follow at the LaGrange Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home in Natchez and at 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Newell was born July 17, 1961, in Natchez, the daughter of Frank Woods Sr. and Clementeen Washington Woods.

She was a graduate of Americorps. She was also a member of Antioch church choir and served as assistant secretary.

Mrs. Newell was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clementeen Woods and Susie Woods Johnson; and one brother, James Woods.

Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Randall Newell Sr.; two sons, Randall Newell Jr. and wife, Erica, and Riccardo Newell; one daughter, Renada Newell, all of Natchez; one sister, the Rev. Patricia Durr of Seattle; three brothers, Frank Woods Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Natchez, Johnny Woods and wife, Mary, of Lynnwood, Wash., and Cleveland Woods of Kent, Wash.; two grandsons, Randall Newell III and Bryson Pinder of Natchez; three aunts; one great-aunt; and a number of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
