VIdalia — A Vidalia woman was arrested Sunday on charges she stabbed a man.
Lakisha M. Watts, 38, 609 Walnut St., was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery following the incident.
Vidalia Assistant Police Chief Bruce Wiley said Watts and the victim, who he described as a male friend, had gotten into an argument in the Walnut Street area prior to the incident.
Over the course of the argument, the disagreement escalated and Watts allegedly stabbed the victim, Wiley said.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Watts there, he said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Wiley said the wound was non-life threatening.
Watts was detained at the Concordia Parish jail Monday without bond.
