FROGMORE — Services for Alfred Charles “A.C.” Leonard, 84, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at noon Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be at 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Leonard was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Chico, Ark., the son of Harrison and Emma Campbell.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Charles and Derrick Leonard; four brothers, Sidney, Nathaniel, Harry and Andrew Leonard; and two sisters, Alice Leonard Fields and Lillian Leonard Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Julie “Geneva” Scott Leonard; three sons, William and Bobby Leonard, both of Ferriday, and Robert Leonard of New Orleans; three daughters, Daisy Leonard of Natchez, Linda Leonard of Ferriday and Patricia Clark of Clayton; three brothers, Lawyer Leonard of Tacoma, Wash., Jonathan Leonard of Seattle and David Leonard and wife, Willie Mae, of Ferriday; one sister, Ernestine Leonard of Ferriday; one sister-in-law, Bernice S. Robertson and husband, Robert, of Baton Rouge; and two godchildren, Makayla Leonard of Fort Worth, Texas and Roslyn Leonard of Ferriday.
