FERRIDAY — Services for Brandon Tate Burnette, 29, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at MD Anderson, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Jeff McClure and the Rev. Byron Gray officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Burnette was born Oct. 31, 1985, in Natchez, the son of Vernon Burnette and Benita Hutson.

He was employed as a natural gas mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, being outdoors, especially playing with the kids.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dr. Edwin Hutson; paternal grandmother, Jo Burnette; one aunt, Carolyn Roth; and grandmother-in-law, Annie Taylor, all of Vidalia.

Survivors include his wife, Nikki Burnette; one son, Ryder Burnette; two daughters, Rilyn Burnette and Roper Burnette, all of Vidalia; his mother of Brookhaven; his father and stepmother, Stephanie Burnette of St. Francisville, La.; one brother, Justin Burnette and wife, Annie, of Brookhaven; two sisters, Kyla Smith and husband, Trent, of Brookhaven and Ashley Holmes and husband, Michael, of Meadville; two stepbrothers, Jacob and Zack Brown of St. Francisville; grandmother, Juanita Hudson of Vidalia; grandfather, Toxie Burnette of Vidalia; and step-grandparents, James and Jean Walsworth of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Russell Barkley Emfinger, Trent Logan Smith, Zack Brown, Jacob Brown, Lonnie Ashley Jr. and Christopher Linder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ashtin Castillo, Tiler Castillo, Devin Roberts, nephews, Brandon and Curtis Pickens and Thomas Tradewell.
