NATCHEZ — Services for Reginald Trenton Simmons, 80, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow at the Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Simmons was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Magnolia, the son of Clyde Franklin Simmons and Golda Chloe McGehee Simmons.
He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company. He was an avid coon hunter and was involved in the neighborhood watch.
Mr. Simmons was a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church and served as a constable for Adams County for eight years. He was also a Mason and a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Trenton Simmons Jr.; and one brother, Bernard Simmons.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Dawn Cazod Simmons; three sons, Trenton Simmons and wife, Leann, David Simmons and wife, Patty, all of Natchez, and Clyde Simmons and wife, Jan, of Brandon; one daughter, Pam Goldman and husband, Danny, of Natchez; six grandchildren, Kevin Perrin and wife, Angela, Mark Perrin and wife, Tonya, Skylar Simmons and wife, Kristi, Greg Simmons and wife, Jennifer, Chris Simmons and Dana Shivers; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ivy Lee Robinson, Jeannette Maxie, Patsy Dillon and Iris Walker; two brothers, Percy Simmons and wife, Sallie, and Sidney Simmons; one sister-in-law, Barbara Savoy; one brother-in-law, Nolan Cozad; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Perrin, Mark Perrin, Greg Simmons, Skyler Simmons, Chris Simmons and Donnie McIlwain.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Shivers, Dave Upton, Lee Edward Gillespie and James Woodard.
Memorials may be made to Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
