FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Louise Marie Hall Robbins 97, of Ferriday, who died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robbins was born Oct. 27, 1917 in Widner, Ark., the daughter of Ethel and OD Hall.

Robbins was a lifelong resident of Lake St. John residing on Robbins Island. She and her husband, Earl Robbins, ran Robbins Inn and other family business until 1964. Robbins then went to work at Concordia Parish Hospital, now Riverland Medical Center, the day they opened for business in 1964 retiring 20 years later at the age of 69. She loved her family and will be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her three children, Barbara Jean Robbins Harris of Ferriday, Robert Earl Roberts and wife, Elizabeth, of Baton Rouge, and Jimmy Dee Robbins and wife, Janet, of Ferriday; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Robbins, Brian Robbins, Robert Robbins Jr., Wesley Foreman, Kimbal Harris and Troy Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be James Mooney and Rev. Don Morgan.
