WINNSBORO, La. — Services for Linnie Howington, 94, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, April 23, 2015, were 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro, La., with the Rev. Troy J. Dennard officiating.

Burial followed at the South Central Cemetery in Wisner, La., under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howington was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Howington; her parents, Vander and Ada McDaniel; one son, Bobby Howington; one grandson, Keith Calvitt; and nine siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Vonice Jester and husband, Roy, and Pamela Howington, all of Ferriday; one daughter-in-law, Juanita Howington Barton and husband, Roger, of Ferriday; seven grandchildren, Kenny Calvitt and wife, Angie, Jerry Calvitt and wife, Kelly, Lloyd Howington and wife, Mandy, Rhonda Firmin and husband, Ricky, Felicia Young and husband, Dennis, Tracy Hartman and husband, Paul, and Kiesha Thompson; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Kenny Calvitt, Jerry Calvitt, Kent Calvitt, Peyton Howington, Tyler Voisine and Ricky Firmin.

Honorary pallbearer was Lloyd Howington.
