FAYETTE — Services for Mary Lee “Mama Black” Warner Reed, 71, of Fayette, who died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Covenant Rehabilitation in Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Empowerment Temple with the Rev. Michael White officiating.
Burial will follow at the Forrest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and at 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Reed was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Fayette, the daughter of George Warner Sr. and Lee Cora Warner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Warner Jr.; and one sister, Lillie Dent Rankins.
Survivors include six children, Christopher and wife, Jimetress, of Texas, Barbara and husband, Jessie, Belinda and husband, James, Georgia, Spencer Jr. and wife, Cynthia, and Shameka, all of Natchez; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
