FERRIDAY — Law enforcement officials are searching for an inmate on the run last seen in the Ferriday area.
Terry Bilbo, 37, an inmate from Rivers Corrections Center in Ferriday, was on a work detail doing simple maintenance at Riverland Medical Center when he disappeared, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Vernon Stevens said.
The inmate reportedly took a break to go to the restroom and never returned, Stevens said.
Bilbo, who was described as a white male weighing 200-pounds and standing at 5-feet-11-inches, was first noticed missing at approximately 10:45 a.m. Monday.
Stevens said Bilbo does not have local connections but has relatives in Grant and LaSalle parishes, and law enforcement officers would be checking those connections.
Bilbo was serving a prison sentence for simple burglary. He was scheduled for release May 28.
