NATCHEZ — Services for Harry Lee Gaylor, 77, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 15, 2015, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Birdon Mitchell Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Gaylor was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Adams County, the son of Leroy and Carrie Woods Gaylor.
He was a member of the NAACP, the Elks Lodge, Local Union 303 and McCoy Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Ruby Lee Gaylor; his grandparents; and an infant son, Harry Gaylor Jr.
Survivors include one sister, Jessie Carter of Los Angeles; two aunts, Lillian Noble and husband, Richard, of Natchez and Florida Coats of New Orleans; two uncles, Willie Woods of San Francisco and Thomas Woods of Monroe, La.; two godsons, Christopher Todd and Frederick Todd, both of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
